Join fellow investigators and security professionals for the 6th Annual Open Source Digital Forensics Conference, the premier event focused exclusively on free and extensible tools.
OSDFCon, to be held October 28, 2015 at the Westin Washington Dulles, offers short talks over the course of a single day. These talks are packed with information about Autopsy and other open source digital forensics tools, and present a unique opportunity to provide feedback directly to tool developers.
This year’s event includes presentations from leading digital forensics teams at Google, Netflix, the Volatility Foundation, Stroz Friedberg, and the Autopsy development team at Basis Technology. Topics include:
- Enterprise-scale incident response
- Memory forensics using Volatility
- Correlating forensic artifacts from multiple sources using Elastic
- Timeline analysis
- Reconstruction of events using NTFS data
- Updates to Autopsy, including collaboration features, Python scripting, and third-party recovery modules.
Learn more about the presentations, presenters, or view the agenda.
In addition, the Autopsy Module Contest is back! Submit your Autopsy plugin for the chance to win a cash prize. Learn more here.
Finally, Autopsy users will also have the opportunity to receive 8 hours of training and 6 CPE credits on October 29. Via hands-on case study, learn how to harness automation and workflow features, leverage keyword search and ingest modules, and more. Learn more here.
Investigators should attend to learn about new tools and meet the developers building the software. Developers should attend to raise awareness of your efforts and get feedback from your users. As in past years, the event is free for government employees. Register here to attend.
We look forward to seeing you at OSDFCon 2015!
